Peter Mac is one of the world’s leading cancer research, education and treatment centres globally and is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer. It has over 2,500 staff, including more than 580 laboratory and clinical researchers, all focused on providing better treatments, better care and potential cures for cancer.
Spiritual Care at Peter Mac is a way for patients, families, friends and staff to reflect on and explore life issues which are affected by cancer.
The Reflection Space is open 24 hours a day and provides a quiet space for reflection, personal prayer, meditation and sanctuary for people of all faiths and those with no religious affiliation.
Intersection 1 and 2 were developed in consultation with the hospital’s art curator and the Spiritual Care Team to provide a focus for the wide variety of Reflection Space users.
